Task One - Piktochart work
For the first 10-15 minutes of today's lesson you can work on your individual Piktochart which will be due at the end of the next lesson!
Remember that some work will be required outside of class to complete this assessment - so the more you complete in this time, the less you will be required to do at home or outside of this class.
This is individual work, no headphones will be allowed while completing this work. You may ask the student next to you to proofread any work or ask them questions - but do not hesitate to ask for help by the teacher!

Task Two - Groupwork Word Cloud
For this task you will be sorted into four groups.
When you have been given your allocated group number and moved around the classroom to form your groups you will allocate one person in the group to be the scribe.
Each group will be given one sense: Smell, Sound, Sight or Touch. In your groups you will work together to create a single word cloud full of brainstormed ideas of what YOU think the Medieval Era might smell/look/sound/feel like.
Below is an example of what I think the Medieval Era might TASTE like:

When you have completed your Word Cloud you can ask your group's scribe to distribute it to everyone for you to include into your informational Piktochart!
Task Three - EDPuzzle Educational Video
Your next task in the lesson is to watch and complete the included questions with the video below.
Each student will watch and answer individually with earphones to avoid interrupting and distracting the class around you.
You can pause the video at any time to take your own notes or to write information down regarding the questions that are presented to you.
Remember: The teacher will be collecting your answers, so take these questions seriously and any inappropriate answers will have consequences!

Concluding Activity - AnswerGarden
Before the class is over, we are going to reflect on what we have learnt in the previous two lessons.
This lesson we focused on the poor, working peasants of the Medieval Era and in the previous lesson you explored the world of the rich, so for the final five to ten minutes of the class we are going to brainstorm and discuss one very important idea.
Below is an AnswerGarden that every student will contribute to at least once, you may answer multiple times but you cannot give the same answer more than once. After spending some time spreading our ideas on this canvas we will discuss what we think are the most accurate answers.
